Nestled in the majestic Swiss mountains, a chalet in Verbier recently underwent an eco-responsible transformation by adopting Solaris™ Premium Black solar tiles from Freesuns. The commune of Val de Bagnes now requires the installation of integrated photovoltaic systems for residents wanting their own electricity from their roofs, so it was only natural that the owner turned to Freesuns solutions.
Half the chalet's roof was clad with solar tiles, making intelligent use of the region's winter conditions. Indeed, on sunny winter days, when the snow has melted and slid to the bottom of the roof, the piercing rays and the reflection of the snow on the ground create an ideal combination for optimal energy production.
Convinced by state-of-the-art technology, the customer chose to install a battery with a backup system. This system, still little known/used in Switzerland, not only maximizes the use of solar energy, but also ensures continuity of supply in the event of a grid failure, offering a reliable and autonomous solution in any situation.
This project marks a significant step towards sustainable living in Verbier, demonstrating that the fusion of alpine tradition and modern solar technologies can create harmony between environmental preservation and modern comfort.
